P.C. Reggio Calabria -  Oreste Granillo’s  versatility and the National Day of Sport

Two initiatives of great thickness have seen in the past weeks the Panathlon Club of Reggio Calabria alongside the Sports Institutions. The first week was dedicated to the ceremony with which  CONI wanted to remember Oreste Granillo important manager and leading figure of the south on the twentieth anniversary of his death. The second week was dedicated to the national day of sport, with about a thousand youth who, for a whole Sunday, crowded the waterfront of the town.

The global  secretary of the International Federation of Physical Education (FIEP), the Argentinean Rodolfo Buenaventura, presented a certificate of honour and a medal from the FIEP for their contribution to the development of Physical Education to the dean of the School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences (FPCEE) Blanquerna-URL, Josep Gallifa; the director of the school’s degree Sports Sciences, Jaume Bantulà; and the vice-president of the FIEP and FPCEE Blanquerna-URL lecturer, Enric M. Sebastiani. The FIEP was founded in Brussels in 1923 and has a presence in over 150 countries. It has been recognised by UNESCO and the International Olympics Committee.

June 23 Hotel Granduca - "The Spirit of ethics and fair play with the youth basketball teams" will be the theme of the monthly meeting organized by the Panathlon Club Grosseto which will be attended by the presidents of the basketball teams of the city of Grosseto as speakers.

Special guest to talk about Fair Play in the world of national and international basketball, will be the coach of Fiat Auxilium Torino, Luca Banchi from Grosseto.

Una noche para el mejor recuerdo: entrega de los premios Fair Play del Panathlon 

La cita fue en el Museo del Fútbol, emblemático lugar que aportó solemnidad a un evento especial. Con auditorio lleno y la presencia de autoridades del deporte, el Sub Director de la Secretaría Nacional del Deporte, Alfredo Etchandy, el Presidente del Comité Olímpico Uruguayo, Julio César Maglione, los Presidentes del Distrito Uruguay del Panathlon, Ricardo Pérez y del Panathlon Club Montevideo, Walter Cibils, más representantes de federaciones deportivas y público en general, se procedió a premiar a los ganadores de las diferentes categorías.

En la Categoría “Deportes Federados” fue premiada la Selección Mayor de Hockey Femenino de la Federación Uruguaya de Hockey sobre Césped, de crecimiento exponencial en los últimos años. Esta selección, que obtuviera el campeonato Sudamericano en la finalizada temporada, tuvo un gran desempeño en todos los órdenes, destacándose no solo en lo deportivo sino también por su respeto al contrincante, al árbitro y a las reglas, caracterizándose por poner en primer lugar el gusto de competir limpiamente y disfrutar el deporte por encima de la ambición de victoria.

En la categoría “Deporte Universitario”, recibió la distinción el Club Peñarol Universitario, que en el devenir de la temporada 2016 en la Liga Universitaria, caracterizó sus partidos de locatario, por la implementación de un tercer tiempo (compartiendo un brindis con el rival luego del partido), marcando así un magnífico ejemplo de confraternización deportiva y constituyendo luego, parte de la campaña que la Liga Universitaria realizara en pos de erradicar la violencia de las competencias deportivas. 

El punto emotivo de la noche fue la entrega del premio en la Categoría “Asociaciones deportivas con capacidades diferentes”, recibido por la selección uruguaya en modalidad de fútbol unificado de Olimpíadas Especiales Uruguay. En el marco de la Copa América de Olimpíadas Especiales, en la que participaran delegaciones de 10 países de América Latina más las delegaciones invitadas de México y Cuba,  los jóvenes de la selección cubana de fútbol carecían de zapatos deportivos acordes a las reglas de protocolo de la CONMEBOL. En tales circunstancias los chicos uruguayos terminaban sus partidos e inmediatamente prestaban a sus iguales cubanos sus zapatos personales, permitiendo así que los mismos pudieran participar en condiciones reglamentarias. 

Luego de los prolongados aplausos de la concurrencia, el evento finalizó con un brindis, una foto grupal de los premiados con las celestes imágenes de Diego Forlán, Maracaná y Luis Suárez de fondo en el Museo del Fútbol y con la entrega a los presentes de un Manifiesto sobre el Fair Play, cuya conclusión es “Sin Fair Play, el deporte no es deporte”.

During the forum with the students of Rapallo as part of the event "Sports comics" Panathlon International has presented a special recognition to the testimonial of the event and world champion of volleyball Andrea Zorzi

Signed the Charter of Parental Duties in sport with the Sports Society Lazio.

A day in the spirit of sport and family values, applauses, music, vintage movies, prizes, interviews, autographs, memories, and, above all, many useful reflections.

It has been  a great presentation for the " Charter of Parental duties in sport” on the initiative of Panathlon Club Reggio Calabria.

P.C. Lugano - From Geo Mantegazza to Lara Gut, excellence is ageless 

During its monthly meeting held on April 20, 2017 in the prestigious location of Villa Sassa, in front of a large audience,  President of Panathlon International, Pierre Zappelli assisted by President of Panathlon Club Lugano, Stefano Giulieri praised two leading figures who, although at different times, have reached and savored the quality of excellence that each athlete is dreaming of chasing in his career.

Panathlon Club Lisbon organized at the Olympic Committee of Portugal an international conference within the framework "The role of parents in Sport". The event was a great success, given the impact that this problem continues to have in society, in terms of training, ethics, fair play and sportsmanship.
