UNESCO initiates the “Quality Physical Education” programme
UNESCO has released two new publications, i.e. the Quality Physical Education policy package and a toolkit targeted to inclusive physical education.
These publications aim to bolster governments in developing physical education policies to support children in acquiring key physical, social and emotional skills.
The need for inclusive development of Quality Physical Education policies
This document outlines the importance and potential benefits of quality physical education. Furthermore, it shows the positive outcomes which may prove useful to shore up the post-pandemic recovery efforts. It includes a set of practical recommendations for public and private players within the sport-education ecosystem and lists the resources available to implement such recommendations.
