During the Ordinary Assembly held in Will on 12 September last, Bernhard Segesser was reconfirmed as President of the District.

On 1st May, at the initiative of Carlos de Leon, Past-president of Maldonado y Punta del Este Panathlon Club, a videoconference was held in the presence of International President Pierre Zappelli and Secretary General Simona Callo.
Some representatives from Buenos Aires, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay attended the meeting.
Each one exposed the situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic in their own countries and the repercussions on everyone's life and the life of Panathlon.
It was a very fruitful and interesting meeting that aroused a lot of enthusiasm.
It was therefore decided to carry out new videoconferencing every fifteen days during which various topics will be addressed.

Mensaje del Distrito Uruguay ante la pandemia del COVID-19
En el marco de una grata velada se llevó a cabo el martes 23 de octubre, en la ciudad de Portoviejo, la ceremonia de posesión del Panathlon Club de Portoviejo, la que dio inicio a las 19h30, bajo la dirección del Presidente de Panathlon International - Distrito Ecuador, Ec. Danilo Carrera. Al evento asistieron también directivos y miembros del Panathlon Club Guayaquil y del recientemente creado Panathlon Club Portoviejo, junto con invitados especiales.
EL Secretario de Panathlon – Distrito Ecuador, Ab. Arturo Gamboa, hizo las presentaciones de rigor y anunció el Orden del Día, dando paso de inmediato a la intervención del Presidente de Panathlon International - Distrito Ecuador, quien realizó un breve recuento de lo que es el Movimiento Panathlon en el mundo y en el Ecuador, relievando los principios que lo inspiran y su rol en la sociedad. Hizo una invitación a los asistentes a aportar a su crecimiento en el país, a trabajar muy cerca del deporte y de la comunidad. Destacó el gran apoyo prestado por la Sra. El Panathlon Club Lima informa la desaparición de Carlos Quiroga Gutierrez, socio fundador del Panathlon Club Lima, presidente del Club en dos ocasiones y Past Presidente del Distrito Perù.
Assemblée générale
Présentation de la Fondation du Panathlon Club Genève par son président, Olivier Carrard. Un chèque a été remis à Michelle Heimberg, plongeuse soutenue par la Fondation, symbolisant le millionième franc versé à un athlète depuis 1996. Entre-temps Michelle Heimberg a remporté la médaille de bronze aux championnats d’Europe à Kiev.
Le président du District, Bernhard Segesser, remet un cadeau au président du Panathlon Club de Genève, Eric Monnot, en guise de remerciement pour la parfaite organisation.
Nicolas Betschart, du Panathlon Club de Zoug, en signe d’amitié entre les clubs, remet un présent à Eric Monnot, président du PC Genève
