Memorandum of Understanding between FIMS and Panathlon International
The first meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) with 2018-2022 mandate met at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland on the 12th March 2019.
The Executive Committee meeting was opened by Prof. Uğur Erdener, IOC Vice President and Chairman of the Medical & Scientific Commission.
Particular highlights of the meeting included the approval of the composition of the new FIMS Commissions and the signing of a MOU between FIMS and Panathlon in the presence of its President Pierre Zappelli.
Mises à jour sur les activités de la Représentation du Panathlon International à Bruxelles
Voici un bref résumé présenté par le CI – Paul Standaert – délégué pour la Représentation du PI à Bruxelles – à l'occasion du dernier CI qui s'est tenu à Saint-Marin le 23 novembre 2018. La version complète sera publiée dans le prochain numéro de la revue du P.I.
Erasmus +
A partir de Décembre 2017 un groupe de travail a été créé pour travailler sur une proposition pour le projet Erasmus + dans le but de préparer, encore une fois en avril 2019, un projet destiné aux enfants de 10 à 14 ans sur le rôle des parents, des entraîneurs et des enseignants dans le Sport.
European Week of Sport - Semaine Européenne du sport
La Représentation du P.I. à Bruxelles, en partenariat avec les loteries européennes et l'ENGSO a organisé, à Bruxelles, une activité sportive très participative et le lendemain un séminaire sur l'égalité des genres et la bonne gouvernance.
Prix Panathlon
La Représentation du P.I. à Bruxelles a accueilli la présentation du Stipendium, un prix Panathlon pour le meilleur "projet de ville" en Flandre pour promouvoir les valeurs du Panathlon.
Étude européenne sur la manipulation sportive
En réponse à l'appel de la Plate-forme Nationale belge contre les matchs truqués, la Représentation du P.I. à Bruxelles a organisé une rencontre afin de convenir d'un partenariat avec le P.I. sur ce spécifique programme européen de recherche.
Club UE Bruxelles
Beaucoup de personnes sont intéressées au Panathlon en raison de la grande évolution de la Représentation du P.I. à Bruxelles qui est en train se transformer en une plate-forme et réseau international. Pour cette raison, un nouveau club du Panathlon sera fondé à Bruxelles d'ici la fin de l'année.
En outre, le CI Paul Standaert a participé en tant que représentant du P.I. :
• en avril 2018 à la Conférence internationale de «Safe Sport International» à Madrid: un point de référence pour la promotion et le développement de mesures structurelles pour la protection des enfants dans le sport
• en septembre 2018, lors de la conférence organisée par le Ministre Autrichien du Sport et à l'inauguration de la Semaine Européenne 2018, dont le P.I. est un partenaire, toujours à Vienne.
Un remerciement spécial à Philippe Vlaemminck, membre du Panathlon Gand, qui offre les structures de son cabinet, Pharumlegal, pour accueillir la Représentation, à Thierry ZINTZ, Président du District de Belgique et à Justine Vandenbon, membre du Panathlon de Bruxelles, pour son grand et précieux soutien à l'organisation du projet Erasmus +.
Anne Tiivas a reçu l’OBE par le Prince du Galles à Buckingham Palace
L’OBE a été décerné à Anne Tiivas, membre de la Commission Scientifique Culturelle du P.I. pour les services rendus à sauvegarde des enfants et des jeunes.

P.C. Reggio Calabria- La polyvalence de « Oreste Granillo » et la Journée Nationale du Sport
Deux initiatives de grande épaisseur ont vu dans les dernières semaines le Panathlon Club de Reggio Calabria aux côtés des institutions sportives. La première semaine a été dédiée à la cérémonie avec laquelle le Coni a voulu rappeler Oreste Granillo grand dirigeant et figure importante du Sud pour le vingtième anniversaire de sa mort. La deuxième semaine a été dédiée à la journée nationale du sport, avec environ un millier de jeunes qui, pour un dimanche entier, ont bondé la promenade de la ville.
PCU University Games
EU Sport Forum
The PCU Games ensure a free sports and events program for universities and university colleges worldwide, including a free Panathlon International membership. The main objective is to offer students a platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship.
The 18th PCU Games are organized from 26 to 28 April 2017 in Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium). Men’s Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball and women’s Basketball and Volleyball are programmed. Registration is simple as explained on this website and the registration deadline is 1 March 2017.
ENRICO PRANDI TROPHY
Not only the competition winners are awarded but also the winner of the overall Fair Play ranking. The Enrico Prandi Trophy is a prestigious award, unique in the world of university sport and the highest merit a university can achieve in relation to ethics in university sport. Different from almost all other university sports events, the main objective of the PCU Games is to offer students, universities and university colleges a worldwide platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship. Enrico Prandi, born on May 21, 1945 (Italy), is the Past President of Panathlon International, former member of the International Olympic Committee Cultural Commission and former President of the Italian Basketball League. He initiated in 2010 the idea to create a university platform within Panathlon International to promote ethics in sport also within the worldwide university community.
HOSTING CONCEPT
To guarantee a free program, the hosting rights of the PCU Games are granted to one single university community for a term of more years. The host is consequently ensured of the necessary return by means of publicity on a long term and is able to downsize logistic and financial requirements. The Antwerp University Association is our first partner within this new format. The Antwerp University Association is a structural cooperation of four higher education institutions in metropolitan Antwerp with about 40.000 students.
HOST ORGANIZATION
Sport, Fair Play and international interaction are considered within the Antwerp University Association as highly important for the educational development of students. Also the universal Panathlon values and the recognition of the association by the International Olympic Committee are considered as complementary with the mission of the Antwerp University Association. As a result the Antwerp University Association agreed to host the PCU Games for the next years.
