Renato Zanovello comments on a symbolic episode of the Tour de France:
"Every day the mass-media provide very sad news about the many scourges that are devastating humanity from the health, economic, social, political, ecological and so on, due to a phenomenon of incomprehensible self-destruction if not with the unjustified motivation of an immediate benefit that ignores or tramples on any form of human dignity. But, as a man of sport, as a panathlete, I found some relief in learning the good news of the great gesture of fair-play by a young Danish cyclist, J. Vingegaard, who at the Tour de France stopped to wait for his direct rival, the Slovenian champion T. Pogacar, who crashed on the route, before going on to win the stage and consolidate his lead in the classification."

As part of the development of its sports policy and its collaboration with Panathlon, the city of Fleurus is hosting an open-air exhibition entitled 'L'Esprit Du Sport' at the Plaine des Sports in Fleurus. This exhibition highlights the true positive values of sport.
Through this exhibition, the Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles has collected photos representing some of the most beautiful Fair-Play gestures in the history of sport. Sourced from the archives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the agencies "Reporters" and "Photonews" and the major players in the world of sport, these images come to life in the form of a dozen giant cubes on which the notion of Fair-Play and its intrinsic values of respect (Yellow), commitment (Blue), brotherhood (Black), emotion (Green) and participation (Red) are displayed.

On Monday 23 the first meeting of “Planet Olympia: the values of sport told by the athletes”, the periodic summit organized by Panathlon Junior of Rome to promote ethics and sports culture among young people, took place at the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) Lazio’s headquarter.
The event, moderated by the president of the Club Lorenzo D'Ilario, was attended by Francesca Milani (judo Olympian at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo), Enrica Rinaldi (wrestling bronze medalist at the 2022 European Championships in Budapest) and Mattia Miceli (judo gold medalist at the 2020 U23 European Championships in Porec).
The institutional greetings were brought by the president of CONI Lazio Riccardo Viola, the youngest councillor of the Capitoline Assembly and member of the Sports Commission of Rome, Giorgio Trabucco, and the authorities of the military sports groups involved (Golden Flames, Carabinieri Sports Centre and Blue Flames).
The initiative was also an opportunity to celebrate 120-year anniversary of the Italian Judo Wrestling Karate and Martial Arts Federation (Fijlkam), whose disciplines spread important values such as respect, passion, sacrifice, rigor, fair play and desire to never give up, in the presence of the lawyer Cristina Varano, Federal Prosecutor of Fijlkam, as well as Walter Borghino, president of Panathlon Club Roma, Cesare Sagrestani, governor of Panathlon Lazio, and Giampiero Cantarini, past president of Panathlon Club Roma.

In an evening marked by friendship and the most authentic panathletic spirit, held in the magnificent location of the Club de Regatas "Lima", the President of Panathlon Club Roma Walter Borghino and the President of Panathlon Club Lima Luis Lastarria have signed a protocol of understanding aimed at establishing channels of cooperation and developing common initiatives and exchanges of experiences, for the diffusion of the principles of Fair Play and of the authentic values that the two clubs support and promote with their activity.
Luis Moreno Gonzales, member of the International Board, was also present.
An initiative that strengthens the relationships between the two clubs and demonstrates how Panathlon unites different identities and cultures through sport.
A dear friend, relentlessly committed to promote Panathlon’s ideals, has left us. Hans Zinsli passed away on 25 March this year, aged 87. He leaves everyone in our Club with a sense of great loss.
Hans Zinsli joined our Club in 1981 with his background deeply rooted in tennis. He was also an enthusiast golf player and his life was dominated by a social note. He constantly took care of the wellbeing of sick members. From 1992 to 1996, Hans served as President of Panathlon Club Chur und Umgebung. His engagement in Panathlon’s Movement, at national and international level, was particularly outstanding. In 2004, Hans was elected to the Board of Panathlon International. During his four years in office, he mainly devoted himself to the revision of P.I.’s Statute and Regulation and he oversaw the translation of the two documents. However, the International Board could also appreciate his stances and forward-looking and future-oriented ideas.
Until a few weeks before passing away, Hans was always very keen on the events organised by our Club and cherished the prospect of meeting his panathlete colleagues again. Regrettably, his illness prevented him from fulfilling this wish. Dear Hans, we will forever remember you as a dearest friend and member, committed, cheerful and reliable.
