Assemblée générale

Présentation de la Fondation du Panathlon Club Genève par son président, Olivier Carrard. Un chèque a été remis à Michelle Heimberg, plongeuse soutenue par la Fondation, symbolisant le millionième franc versé à un athlète depuis 1996. Entre-temps Michelle Heimberg a remporté la médaille de bronze aux championnats d’Europe à Kiev.

Le président du District, Bernhard Segesser, remet un cadeau au président du Panathlon Club de Genève, Eric Monnot, en guise de remerciement pour la parfaite organisation. 

Nicolas Betschart, du Panathlon Club de Zoug, en signe d’amitié entre les clubs, remet un présent à Eric Monnot, président du PC Genève

Assignment of the Prizes of the 17th Graphic Competition

On Saturday 13 July at the Headquarters of Panathlon International (Villa Queirolo, Rapallo) the jury panel meeting was held for the awarding of the prizes of the 17th International Graphic Competition established by the Domenico Church Foundation in order to encourage young people, through the language of art, to think about the values of sport.

We inform you that the award ceremony and the opening of the exhibition will be held in Padua on Saturday 19th  October.

Dedicata al grande, indimenticabile Massimo Troisi, la manifestazione cinematografica e culturale eoliana, giunta all’ottava edizione, ha previsto un momento dedicato alla consegna ufficiale di un premio Panathlon.

Premiato il pongista messinese, Massimo Girolamo, due volte medaglia di bronzo ai recenti giochi mondiali “Special Olympics” di Abu Dhabi, “per aver trovato la forza di trasformare i propri limiti in strumenti per allargare gli orizzonti della vita e percorrere la strada del successo”. La cerimonia di premiazione si è tenuta dopo l’esibizione di Roby Facchinetti, nel magico scenario della Piazzetta di Santa Marina Salina.

L’atleta ha voluto ringraziare fortemente Massimiliano Cavaleri e tutti gli organizzatori del Marefestival per avere, da quest’anno, voluto aprire uno spazio al mondo dello Sport e per aver pensato al Panathlon per rappresentare lo Sport come mezzo di reinserimento sociale per tante persone con disabilità anche intellettive delle quali Massimo Girolamo può essere un portabandiera.

A precedere la consegna del premio, una missiva, che Pierre Zappelli, Presidente del Club messinese, ha inviato all’atleta, per porgere all’atleta le più vive congratulazioni per i risultati conseguiti e con cui ha sottolineato i valori del Panathlon, che da sempre sostiene e incoraggia la pratica sportiva quale strumento di formazione e di valorizzazione della persona e come veicolo di solidarietà tra gli uomini ed i popoli.

Une douzaine d’éducateurs sportifs aux idées innovantes se sont investis avec énergie et professionnalisme, mercredi 3 juillet, dans cette édition Fort Boyard ouverte aux jeunes de 8 à 12 ans, adhérents aux sections sportives du Sporting club de Beaucouzé (SCB). « 128 jeunes sur 150, inscrits au stade Jacques-Aubineau, ont participé à cette animation sportive et citoyenne que Lilian, le responsable technique, coordonnait », raconte Marie-Chantal Bonhommeau, la présidente du SCB.

Les enfants ont pris beaucoup de plaisir à découvrir un jeu interactif et à s’investir pour obtenir les fameuses clés permettant de résoudre l’énigme finale et, enfin, recevoir leurs trésors, offerts par les partenaires et les sections. Pour sa part, le Panathlon club d’Angers, éthique du sport et partenaire de l’événement, s’est investi financièrement pour faire de cette journée une réussite.

Marie-Chantal Bonhommeau a annoncé, en outre, une nouveauté au SCB pour la saison prochaine : « Le retour de l’athlétisme pour les enfants et les adultes. Il sera plus orienté vers la course à pied la première année mais l’encadrement s’adaptera aux besoins et aux effectifs.

Opening Panathlon EU Brussels June 20 - 2019

On June 20thPanathlon International had the honor to welcome Mr. Yves Le Lostecque, Head of Unit SPORT DG EAC, at the opening of the Panathlon EU Brussels club. 

International President Pierre Zappelli spoke about the important challenge for Panathlon International in supporting the aim of EU in sport and education. 

Panathlon’s cradle stood for obvious reason in Italy. As an international Movement for the promotion and dissemination of culture and sport ethics according to the IOC official recognition it is more than logical that Panathlon assumes its responsibility in facilitating the ethical aim of sport in the EU. 

Therefor it is promising that the representation of Panathlon in Brussels generates a new club for International members. As an attractive platform for EU citizens the club will facilitate the exchange of good practices and the development of new project to achieve our common ethical goals.  

Mr. Arjan van ‘t Veer president of the new club welcomed the audience and focused on the important role of sport in society where quality leisure time has become a priority. 

Vice President of Panathlon EU Brussels Mr. Vlaemminck gave a short overview of the club’s program.

In the next month’s Panathlon EU Brussels will focus on three themes:

- the possible exploitation of young athletes: the risk associated with the migration of young football players from Africa  

- inclusiveness: age shouldn't be a barrier to playing competitive sports

- the excessive commercialization of Sport 

As partner of EWOS the new club will also focus on a program that participates at this European Sport Event.

Emoción y satisfaccion de todos los socios de Panathlon Club Delicias por haber realizado el pasado Domingo 30 de Junio los Friendly Games en Cd. Delicias,Chihuahua,México.

Fueron todo un exito en los cuales participaron 200 niños acompañados de sus familias, asi mismo nos acompañaron autoridades deportivas y gubernamentales.

CSIT – World Games 2019 – Tortosa

Everything is ready. The 2019 Panathlon Prize will be awarded at the closing Ceremony of the World CSIT Games on Saturday, July 6th in Tortosa, Spain!

From the collaboration between CSIT and Panathlon International, Presidents Pierre Zappelli and Bruno Molea, have set up a Competition aimed at all CSIT members, present in more than 30 countries around the world, to grant the Panathlon – CSIT Award, with the aim of strengthen the roots that unite the two associations: passion for sport and promotion of the development of the sporting ideal and its moral and cultural values. 

The idea was born to seek, through CSIT Members, a personality who has distinguished himself through his own behaviour, and his actions for the affirmation of the ethical values of sport.

For this edition, among the many nominations received, the winner of the Panathlon – CSIT Prize is:

OLIN KALEVI recommended by the "Finnish Workers' Sports Federation TUL"

in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the values of sport throughout his life.

He will be awarded by President Pierre Zappelli during the Ceremony of the World CSIT Games.

A great sporting festival in the name of culture and respect for Olympic values.

A l’initiative du Service des sports de la Ville de Fribourg et avec le soutien des Panathlons clubs Fribourg-freiburg et Gruyère, s’est déroulée le 13.06.2019 à l’aula de la DOSF, à Fribourg, une conférence sur le thème des JO de la jeunesse 2020. Plusieurs intervenants, dont La Présidente des Jeux olympiques de la jeunesse (JOJ) Virginie Faivre, le directeur général des JOJ Ian Logan et Simone Righenzi responsable des sports pour les JOJ, ont défilé devant un parterre de personnalité du monde sportif et politique, pour présenter le chantier mis en place dans le cadre de ce grand rendez-vous sportif. Chacun des interlocuteurs nous a fait partager son enthousiasme pour la magie des jeux qui se déroulera du 9 au 22 janvier 2020. L’événement s’étalera à Lausanne et environs, sur les rives du lac Léman, dans les alpes avoisinantes et ainsi que dans les Grisons. Pas moins de 15 sports seront représentés lors de ces jeux. Le village Olympique sera quant à lui situé au cœur du vaste campus universitaire lausannois. Ces jeux sont également l’occasion pour plus de 20'000 élèves de découvrir dans leurs examens de fin d’année des questions liées aux jeux olympiques de la jeunesse. Selon les dires de Ian Logan ces jeux seront un nouveau projet pour la jeunesse. Des jeux qui sont organisés avec, par et pour les jeunes. 

La Présidente Virginie Faivre a encore lancé un appel aux bénévoles. Plus de 3000 personnes sont recherchées pour le bon déroulement des jeux. Chacun est également invité sur les sites des manifestations sportives qui seront gratuites.
